Stretford Welcomes a Trio of New Openings

Two new independents are coming to Stretford Town Centre

Stretford Town Centre is getting ready to welcome two new independent businesses, with creative tattoo studio Tattoo Manchester and social gaming venue Kolbold Union opening their doors this autumn.

They'll be followed by Fosforo Lounge on 28th November, bringing another spot to eat, drink and spend time with friends and family to the town centre.

Kobold Union - opening 31st October

Opening on King Street on 31st October, Kobold Union is a new social gaming space where people can get together over board games and tabletop roleplaying games.

Whether you're a seasoned gamer or just fancy trying something new, there'll be plenty to get stuck into. The venue is designed as a relaxed, welcoming place to spend time with friends, meet new people or enjoy a game with family.

Visitors will be able to book tables by the hour and choose from a collection of games, including favourites such as Catan and Wingspan, alongside easy-to-pick-up party games like Codenames and Poetry for Neanderthals. The specially designed gaming tables feature recessed playing surfaces to help keep cards, tokens and game pieces in place while you play.

For those looking to try something different, Kobold Union will also host tabletop roleplaying sessions, including Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, Shadowdark and Call of Cthulhu. Introductory sessions are planned, with regular events expected to take place weekly or fortnightly.

There's also a drinks menu to enjoy while you play, including specialty coffee made with beans from Manchester-based roastery Heart & Graft, as well as tea, hot chocolate and chilled soft drinks.

Kobold Union will be open Tuesday to Friday, 11am-11pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 10am-11pm.

Tattoo Manchester - opening in November

Creative tattoo studio, Tattoo Manchester, is set to open in The Mezz this November, offering bespoke designs, ornamental blackwork and fine-line tattooing.

Founded by tattoo artist Emily Preston and her business partner Morgan Goodsmith, the studio will offer a personal, collaborative approach, with designs created around each client's individual style, interests and stories. It will open with two tattoo chairs, with prices starting at £80 per hour and subscriptions also available.

Emily's artistic style has developed through years of creative exploration, including studying at Leeds Arts University, making handmade jewellery and taking on painting commissions. Drawing inspiration from nature, sport and botanical forms, her work combines delicate fine lines with ornamental blackwork, stippling and black-and-grey shading.

Clients will be involved throughout the design process, with each bespoke design shared ahead of the appointment to allow time for feedback and any adjustments before the final piece is agreed.

Fosforo Lounge - opening 28th November

Joining the town centre on 28th November, Fosforo Lounge will bring an all-day food and drink offering to Stretford.

With a varied menu of dishes and hot and cold drinks, there'll be plenty to choose from throughout the day. The space will also feature quirky artwork and carefully chosen décor, selected especially for Stretford.

It's another new spot to look forward to as more businesses make Stretford Town Centre their home.
