GRUB Stretford Offically Opens This Weekend
GRUB Stretford will officially open its doors on Saturday 20 June from 12pm, bringing a brand-new independent food, drink and events destination to the heart of Stretford town centre.
Now that we have started the first phase of Stretford Town Centre’s redevelopment, we want to give you all the information you need to understand how to navigate around the centre.
As always, our friendly team is on hand to help so please ask them if you need any assistance.
How can you enter the Mall?
You can enter Stretford Town Centre via The Broady Street entrance (next to Costa and Aldi) and Chester Road entrance (the big glass doors by the main staircase).
You can still enter the Mall via the lifts outside of Quality Save, however you will need to walk through the covered walkway to the central Mall to access the other shops, toilets, Pure Gym and the businesses on King Street.
Covered walkway
To keep everyone safe from the development work happening in the centre, we have installed a covered walkway to take you from VIP to EE, Quality Save, the lifts and the carpark. Please be aware that there is no access to anywhere else in the Mall at the end of the walkway. The banks and other businesses on King Street and Chester Road must be accessed via our Chester Road entrance.
EE and Quality Save access
You can access EE and Quality Save via the covered walkway that begins at VIP Vape. Travel along the walkway and you will see EE on the left and Quality Save at the end of the walkway.
Toilets and baby changing facilities Our toilets have now been relocated. You can find the new toilets next to British Heart Foundation, opposite The Card Factory which is close to the Broady Street entrance. This includes male, female, disabled and baby changing/feeding facilities.
King Street entrance closure
Access for this entrance is now only for Nationwide, Lloyds and Shaws Amusements. We have installed a hoarding that runs from across from Shaws Amusements to Lloyds to ensure the safety of the community whilst the work to create our new high street and town square takes place. This means you can still access Nationwide, Lloyds and Shaws Amusements via King Street Entrance, just not the rest of the Mall.
Kingsway entrance closure
This entrance is now closed. When it reopens in autumn 2024, this will take you into the new square.
Lifts
Our lifts are still in operation with no change.
Roadworks on Kingsway
Whilst of long-term benefit to our scheme and the town centre, the current work on Kingsway is not part of our redevelopment project and is taking place totally independently of Bruntwood. You can read all the information here.
