November’s Stretford Socials is jam packed full of FREE seasonal and family activities for the local community. Taking place on 4th November from 12.00-4.00pm there will be the usual line up of local businesses and makers including locally made cakes, bakes, gifts and local fundraisers.
Taking place in the middle of the Mall by The SQ, the November Stretford Socials will kick off the festive season with plenty of opportunities to purchase local and independent Christmas gifts at reasonable prices and enjoy seasonal activities.
The event will also include:
The Little Green Sock Project Christmas Jumper Fundraising Sale. The group’s mission is to help save money, reduce waste and raise vital funds for children living in poverty in Trafford and they will be hosting a fun and festive preloved Christmas jumper sale at this month’s socials. Save money and reduce waste by shopping for a pre-owned festive jumper this year rather than buying new (especially when 1 in 4 Christmas jumpers are only worn once), all whilst giving back to vulnerable families within the community.
A Scouts Bonfire Takeover in the former Bon Marche unit with fake fire and campfire snacks, all handmade by the team. The Stretford Scouts team will be recruiting new people to join them and also fundraising on the day.
A ‘Nearly New Gift and Toy Tabletop Sale’ will also be hosted in the SQ, and is the perfect opportunity for those wanting to start their Christmas shopping early and give recycled gifts a new home.
Stretford Foodbank will also be returning to launch their annual Christmas fundraising efforts. The volunteers will be on hand to chat to anyone who wants to learn more about Stretford Foodbank’s initiative and will also provide insight into some of the most wanted donations over the winter months.
Retailers in the Mall, such as Quality Save and Boots, will also be stocking autumnal and Christmas gifts.
